Senior Developer - Power Platform (Power Pages, Power Automate, Model Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, PCF Controls)
About the role
PRISM is the Power Platform solution that runs quoting, resource management, and project management for Cencora's Global Consulting Services business. You'll build and extend it: the model-driven apps consultants and resource managers work in daily, the canvas apps and PCF controls that make the experience usable, and the Power Pages portal that puts quotes and project information in front of clients.
This is a hands-on development role inside the D365 CoE. You'll work alongside our internal functional and technical team and our AMS vendor, and coordinate with Vision25 delivery teams where PRISM touches the global D365 F&O rollout.
What You'll do
- Design and build features across the Power Platform stack: model-driven apps, canvas apps, PCF controls, Power Automate flows, business rules, and Dataverse schema. Write PowerFX for canvas apps and formula columns, and HTML, JavaScript, and Liquid for Power Pages.
- Own the quoting, resource management, and project management capability areas from design through hypercare. That means translating user stories into working solutions, sizing work (T-shirt and ROM), and participating in sprint planning, grooming, and demos in Azure DevOps.
- Build and maintain integrations between PRISM, D365 F&O, and other systems using Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Dataverse virtual tables. Design JSON message contracts, handle errors and retries, and instrument with Application Insights so failures are visible before users report them.
- Run ALM for PRISM. Maintain the solution structure and layering, manage the Git repo and branching, and build and operate the Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines that move managed solutions through QA, UAT, and Production. Handle solution upgrades and updates, hotfixes, and feature flags without breaking downstream environments.
- Run Solution Checker and Power Platform ALM best practices as part of the definition of done. Review pull requests from internal and vendor developers and hold them to the same standard.
- Support production. Work incidents and problems with the Incident and Problem Management teams, do root cause analysis, and fix the cause rather than the symptom.
- Document what you build: technical design, integration specs, deployment runbooks, and job aids the support team and end users can actually follow.
What You Bring
- 5+ Years experience developing on Power Platform and Dataverse, including at least two production model-driven apps you built or substantially extended.
- Demonstrated work in Power Pages (HTML, JavaScript, Liquid, web templates, table permissions, authentication) and canvas apps (PowerFX, connectors, responsive layout, delegation).
- At least one PCF control you've built and shipped, with TypeScript and React.
- Production integration experience with Azure Service Bus (topics, subscriptions, dead-lettering) and Azure Functions or Logic Apps as the middle layer. You can explain when to use event-driven versus batch and why.
- Hands-on Azure DevOps pipeline development for Power Platform: Power Platform Build Tools or Power Platform CLI, service connections, solution export/import/unpack, environment variables and connection references, and managed solution upgrades.
- Working knowledge of Power Platform ALM: solution layering, unmanaged dev and managed downstream environments, versioning, and how to unwind a bad deployment.
- Comfort in SAFe or Scrum delivery, writing and refining user stories, and demoing to product owners and business SMEs.
- Clear written and spoken communication. You'll explain technical trade-offs to product owners and architects who don't code.
Nice to have
- D365 F&O exposure, especially Project Operations, and experience surfacing F&O data in Dataverse through virtual tables or dual-write.
- Professional services domain knowledge: quote-to-project, resource scheduling, utilization, time and expense, revenue recognition.
- Microsoft Fabric or Power BI experience for reporting on Dataverse data.
- Experience in a regulated industry (pharma, healthcare, financial services) where audit trails and data segregation matter.
- Microsoft certifications: PL-400 (Power Platform Developer), PL-600 (Solution Architect), or AZ-204 (Azure Developer).
How we work
- Sprints via Azure DevOps or Github
- Code review on every Pull Request
- Nothing goes to Production without passing Solution Checker, automated pipeline deployment, and UAT sign-off
- Vendor and internal developers work off the same backlog and the same standards.
