Business Development Representative US

• • United States (United States)

Job description

🌍 We’re making security suck less for developers.

Security tools haven’t kept up with how software is built today. They interrupt teams, slow releases, and turn security into a bottleneck instead of a capability. We built Aikido to change that. Aikido builds developer-first security products that reduce real risk without getting in the way of shipping software. We focus on what actually matters and automate the rest.

We’re taking on legacy security tools teams have been stuck with, and we’re winning. If you want to help us take market share and build products developers actually enjoy using, you’re in the right place.

Founded in 2022 by third-time founders, Aikido has $85M in the bank and a long runway ahead. We’re building toward self-securing software. Join an all-star team. Take real ownership. Push boundaries. Build things that matter.

As a Business Development Representative, you will manage our inbound channels and serve as the first point of contact for all incoming leads. You'll engage with prospects across various platforms, including email, LinkedIn, Twitter, Reddit, and other experimental channels.

Responsibilities

• Write great, personal and relevant emails and messages to prospects

• Build and engage with different types of lists of prospects

• Build out cadences/sequences in your sales engagement system

• Follow up with prospects

• Collaborate with and support Account Executives in the first touch points of our sales cycle

• Engage in creative and to-the-point threads on LinkedIn, Twitter, Reddit,...

Job requirements

• Really comfortable in a very entrepreneurial environment

• Can think along certain suggestions/ideas of Aikido colleagues

• Familiar with using CRM (we use Hubspot) and other sales tooling (LinkedIn, Outreach/Salesloft, ...)

• Structured: You'll be dealing with big amounts of leads and prospects. You need to work in a clean and structured way to be able to deal with this amount of data.

• Medior to Senior: It's okay if you're not that experienced. The most important thing is to be coachable, hungry, and have a hustler-mentality.

• Fluent in English (this is our main working language and also the language we use to engage with customers)

What you can expect

• Short decision lines. Big ownership. Shape the projects that matter and ship fast.

• Grow as fast as we do. Take on more, own more, and carve out your own path.

• Top-tier tech pay and equity.

• High trust, strong values, zero corporate BS.

• Flexibility in working hours.

• A company that sticks to its values in an open and informal atmosphere.

We hire for talent, drive, and potential. Everything else is noise.

Job title and Compensation

• The compensation range for this position is between $70,000 and $85,000, based on full-time employment.

• Actual salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and work location.

• Our open positions are based on job competencies that are specific to each role. If you are offered a position, the job title may be different from what is advertised to align with the role's competencies and your specific background, experience, and interview results.
