We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our international team. You will be employed by FFTAE, an IT company based in Serbia, and work directly with Sporting Rock, a Hamburg-based company developing innovative digital solutions for the sports and outdoor industry.
As a QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our products. You’ll work closely with software engineers, product managers, and designers throughout the development lifecycle, contributing to test automation, continuous improvement, and a seamless user experience.
What you’ll do?
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases across our products using Playwright
- Continuously improve and expand our automated testing framework and testing strategy
- Build and maintain robust end-to-end, regression, integration, and API test suites
- Create comprehensive test plans and ensure test coverage aligns with product requirements
- Work closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers throughout the development lifecycle
- Identify, document, and help drive the resolution of software defects
- Investigate issues and validate fixes using logs, monitoring, and error tracking tools (e.g. Datadog, Dash0, or similar)
- Improve the reliability and maintainability of automated tests within our CI/CD pipelines
- Contribute to QA best practices, engineering processes, and release quality
- Advocate for quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle
What you'll bring?
Required
- Bachelor's degree in technical education related to software engineering
- 2+ professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
- Hands-on experience with test automation using Playwright (experience with Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks is also welcome)
- Good proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript
- Solid understanding of functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and API testing
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools such as ClickUp or Jira
- Experience working with monitoring, logging, or error tracking tools
- Understanding of Agile software development practices (Scrum or Kanban)
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset
- Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus)
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a microservice-based architecture.
- Familiarity with Go (Golang).
- Experience with observability platforms (Dash0, Datadog) and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- German language skills.
