The SOAX.COM team is looking for an engineer to join the Tech team, specializing in software product development in GoLang.

SOAX is one of the largest proxy providers for business worldwide, a Global IP Proxy Network (IPPN). Our main product is Rotating Backconnect Proxies. We have an exclusive pool of over 8M IP addresses worldwide. All IP addresses in our pool belong to real ISPs (Internet Service Providers), so they have the highest level of trust from web services. Our clients mainly use residential and mobile proxies for parsing and scraping data on the web.

The company aims to build a fast, stable, and high-quality proxy service for client requests to external resources.

We are building a geo-distributed system written in GoLang, using interaction protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS/SOCKS5/TCP/UDP. Our task is to configure this system so that all parts interact with each other with low response time, low error and loss rates, high availability, and high speed of finding suitable nodes.

• Development of proxy services
• Performance optimization, bottleneck identification, refactoring
• Writing Unit tests
• Creating documentation

In the project, we use:

• GoLang as the main programming language
• MariaDb for data storage
• Redis for caching frequently used data
• Kafka + Clickhouse for streaming data collection (events/system analytics)
• Prometheus + Grafana for application metrics collection
• Docker for application containerization
• GitLab for code change history storage
• Redash for product metrics monitoring
• Maxmind GeoIp for device identification
• Slack + Zoom for team communication
• Notion for product documentation management

• 5+ years of work experience
• 2+ years of GoLang development
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB/Clickhouse)
• Knowledge of Go and understanding of how runtime works (goroutines, channels)
• Knowledge of sync, atomic, io, net, flag libraries
• Knowledge of profiling applications in Golang
• Experience writing microservices, understanding microservice architecture
• Experience developing RestFULL API

Will be a plus:

• Working with metrics and application performance analysis
• Experience with Docker
• Understanding TCP/IP
• Understanding multiplexing
• Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms (AWS)
