Social Media & Brand Marketing Specialist – France

Remote within France

€35,000- €45,000 + 25% bonus + equity

Full-time - Contractor

Did you see one of our viral campaigns, like findmohamedawife.com? Or maybe you know one of the 800,000 couples who met through Muzz? Whatever brought you here, now’s the perfect time to join a team on its way to becoming the first billion-dollar Muslim app.

We’re looking for a Social Media & Brand Marketing Specialist to own Muzz’s brand presence and organic acquisition pipeline in the French market.

You’ll be a Brand Marketer by default, responsible for bringing campaigns and brand initiatives to life locally. You’ll also own Social Media Marketing, making sure our channels consistently create conversations, build our community and drive people towards Muzz.

For this role, you need to be fluent in French and English to fully own and grow Muzz’s presence in France. You also need to be comfortable appearing on camera.

Please note: This is a full time freelancer role, paid gross in your local currency each month. You will not be an employee of Muzz.

You must have existing permission to work in France and not require any sponsorship either now or in the future.

What we're looking for

• 4+ years of experience in brand marketing, social media, content marketing, communications or a related field, preferably within a consumer-facing brand.
• Fluency in French and English
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok and other relevant channels, and what makes content perform on each.
• Experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns, from brief and ideation through to execution and reporting.
• Strong copywriting and content development skills, with the ability to write compelling social copy and translate ideas into clear creative briefs.
• A strong creative instinct and the ability to turn audience insights, cultural moments and business objectives into compelling ideas.
• Comfortable using social media analytics and performance data to understand what is working and optimize future content.
• Strong awareness of digital and social trends, with the curiosity to identify opportunities before everyone else is talking about them.
• Experience working with creators, influencers, media partners or other external partners is a plus.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, stakeholders and deadlines at the same time.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with Creative, Performance Marketing, Product and other country teams.
• A self-starter mentality. You don’t wait for someone to tell you what to do when you can see an opportunity.
• Culturally curious and audience-focused, with an ability to understand the nuances of different Muslim communities and translate global ideas into locally relevant marketing.
• A commercial mindset and interest in understanding how brand and social activity contributes to acquisition, engagement and business growth.
