Product Owner – Traceability Reporting Platform to Husqvarna Group

Last date to apply:

We’re one of the world’s oldest start-ups — and we’re just getting started.

At Husqvarna Group, innovation is in our DNA. With over 330 years of heritage and a passion for pioneering technology, we design and deliver world class products and solutions for forest, park, garden and construction care. From robotic lawn mowers to cutting-edge chainsaws and sustainable battery systems, we’re shaping the future — and we want you to be part of it.

Digital Infrastructure is looking for a Product Owner – Traceability Reporting Platform to take on the role of DPP Business Owner. You will connect people, processes and data across the Group to keep our Digital Product Passport capability working, current and ready for what comes next.

This new role sits within the Digital Infrastructure team, part of Digital Data Solutions. The role will work closely with our Traceability manager and report to the Digital Infrastructure Manager. This person will collaborate closely with Group Compliance, Data Management, Operations, Digital Business Solutions, Global Information Systems, and suppliers.

About the role:

We are now looking for a Product Owner – Traceability Reporting Platform who will take on the role of DPP Business Owner.

As DPP Business Owner, you will hold the overall business responsibility for ensuring that Husqvarna Group has a functioning, up-to-date and scalable capability to create, publish, maintain and evolve Digital Product Passports and other regulatory product information. Your ownership covers the complete chain – from regulation, business requirements, processes, data, product identification and labelling, through technical enablement and the published product information, to lifecycle management.

You will not operationally perform every activity in the chain. Instead, you will own the overall context, coordinate the involved functions – such as Group Compliance, Product Management, Master Data, GIS, Operations and Digital Solutions – and ensure that the end-to-end capability works. The project delivers the capability; your ownership keeps it alive and evolving.

The role also looks ahead. While the platform is initially built to meet the requirements of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), its scope will grow over time into a broader traceability and regulatory platform. It will evolve to fulfil the requirements of the Machinery Regulation, the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and other regulations that require product data to be made available to customers through a QR code. As Product Owner – Traceability Reporting Platform, you will drive this expansion so that new regulatory requirements are met through one scalable Group platform rather than separate solutions.

Key Responsibilities

In the role of DPP Business Owner, your key responsibilities are:

• Secure Platform Capability for Regulatory Readiness: Coordinate regulatory changes affecting the platform together with Group Compliance, assess their business impact, and identify upcoming regulations – such as the Machinery Regulation and PPWR – that the platform can be extended to fulfil. Identify value-creation opportunities arising from these changes and prioritize them towards IT based on business value creation as well as compliance.
• End-to-End Business Process Lead: Lead and continuously improve the business process, ensuring clear roles, up-to-date documentation and no gaps across divisions and functions.
• End-to-End Ownership of the Platform Capability: Understand the full flow – from product identification and data through labelling and QR code to publishing – and ensure no part of the chain falls between organizational responsibilities.
• Governance & Cross-Functional Coordination: Chair the Digital Product Information Governance Forum and mobilize the relevant functions and divisions when alignment or decisions are needed.
• Single Point of Contact: Be the designated business contact for the platform, answering questions or routing them to the right function.
• Knowledge & Internal Communication: Ensure platform information – including How We Work – exists, stays relevant and is maintained.
• Onboarding & Future Regulations: Run an established onboarding process so new product categories and regulations can be brought into scope without new implementation projects.

Mandate & Decision Authority

Ownership requires mandate. As DPP Business Owner, you hold clearly defined authority to:

• Initiate platform-related changes.
• Convene relevant functions and stakeholders.
• Request impact assessments.
• Escalate identified gaps and compliance risks.
• Drive prioritization of platform requirements through the agreed governance structure.
• Represent the platform in relevant forums.
• Approve, or drive approval of, business-process changes related to the platform.

About you:

You enjoy making complex things easier to navigate. With a strong sense of ownership, you see how regulation, processes, data, product identification, labelling and IT connect, and you are comfortable stepping in when clarity or momentum is needed.

You are a clear communicator who can bring people together across functions, divisions and cultures. Structured but pragmatic, you know when to facilitate, challenge, decide or escalate.

Your skills and background:

Required Skills & Competencies

• Ownership & Accountability: A strong sense of ownership with the confidence to take end-to-end accountability for a capability no single function owns.
• Systems Thinking: Ability to understand dependencies across regulation, processes, data, product identification, labeling and IT well enough to see the consequences of change – without needing deep technical expertise in each area.
• Stakeholder Management & Influence: Proven ability to align and mobilize cross-functional and cross-divisional stakeholders, and to drive decisions in a matrix organization.
• Translating Regulation demands into Requirements: Ability to turn regulatory and business needs into clear business requirements that IT and other enabling functions can act upon.
• Governance & Facilitation: Experience in setting up and chairing forums, prioritizing on compliance, risk and business value, and escalating where needed.
• Effective Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain the platform and its regulatory requirements clearly to audiences ranging from management to operational teams.
• Structured & Pragmatic: Organized, process-oriented and focused on scalability and repeatability, while comfortable working hands-on when needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in business process leadership, product or capability management, or cross-functional project management in a global organization.
• Solid understanding of product data, master data and product identification (e.g. GTIN, serial numbers, GS1 standards) and how they connect to labelling and digital channels.
• Familiarity with EU sustainability and product regulations (e.g. ESPR, Digital Product Passport, Machinery Regulation, PPWR, Battery Regulation or similar) is highly valued.
• Experience in change management and in working with IT on business requirements and solution delivery is highly valued.
• Experience from the DPP project or similar digital transformation or sustainability-related data initiatives is a strong advantage.
• Fluent in English; Swedish is a plus.
