We're looking for a frontend-focused Software Engineer to build and improve the parts of our products that people directly experience.
You'll work across modern applications and established platforms, turning designs and requirements into accessible, performant and maintainable interfaces.
Our current frontend estate includes Vue 3, TypeScript, JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, Vite, Inertia, WordPress/Sage, Astro and related technologies. You won't need to know all of them.
You'll work closely with our Backend, Full Stack and Infrastructure & Platform Engineers, as well as Account Management. You'll also liaise directly with clients where useful to understand requirements, explore problems and explain technical decisions clearly.

What we're looking for
You'll already have commercial experience building production web applications and be comfortable taking well-understood pieces of frontend work from requirement through to production with appropriate support.
Strong JavaScript and frontend fundamentals matter more to us than matching every technology in our stack. Experience with Vue, TypeScript, Tailwind or similar technologies would be particularly useful.
We want someone who cares about more than whether a page "works". Usability, accessibility, security, testing, performance and maintainability all matter. You'll be methodical in how you investigate problems, meticulous in execution, curious about why things behave the way they do, and willing to bring ideas rather than simply wait for instructions.

We want engineers to own outcomes, not just tasks. Security, testing and performance are part of doing good engineering, not separate stages at the end.
This is a Software Engineer role rather than a junior or senior appointment. We're looking for someone who can work independently on well-understood problems while continuing to grow their technical depth, judgement and ownership.
