Sharebite — о компании

The story of Sharebite is one of resilience, transformation, and a deep-seated desire to make a positive impact. It begins with its founder, Dilip Rao, who, after a near-death experience in a car accident in 2014, was inspired to re-evaluate his life's purpose. This pivotal moment led him to envision a business that could be a force for good, aligning private sector incentives with public good. Two years later, in 2015, this vision materialized as Sharebite, a company co-founded with Mohsin Memon, with a mission not just to revolutionize the corporate meal experience but to combat food insecurity. The early years saw Sharebite gaining traction, securing major enterprise clients from various sectors like law, finance, and investment banking. The company was on an upward trajectory, celebrating record-breaking weeks, until the COVID-19 pandemic brought unforeseen challenges. With no paying customers at the time, Rao made personal sacrifices, including forgoing his salary and relocating to his in-laws' basement, to keep the company afloat and focus the team on rebuilding. This period of adversity proved to be a catalyst for innovation. Sharebite adapted to the new reality of remote and hybrid work, developing a robust platform to cater to the evolving needs of the modern workforce. The company's core offering evolved into a comprehensive meal benefits platform, providing companies with the tools to feed their employees, whether they are in the office, working remotely, or on a hybrid schedule. A key differentiator and a testament to its founding mission is Sharebite's one-for-one donation model. For every meal ordered through its platform, a meal is donated to those in need through partnerships with organizations like Feeding America® and City Harvest. This commitment to social responsibility is woven into the fabric of the company's identity. Today, Sharebite stands as a leader in the food benefits space, recognized for its rapid growth and innovative solutions. The company's journey from a founder's personal crisis to a thriving, mission-driven enterprise demonstrates the power of purpose in building a successful and impactful business.
