XR Scenario Creator / QA Engineer

Europe

Description

We are looking for an XR Scenario Creator / QA Engineer with experience working on VR projects.

This role combines two areas: creating interactive VR scenarios and testing scenarios created by other team members.

You will build VR scenarios using Lucid Reality Labs’ proprietary XR platform. Scenario creation is done through visual authoring tools, so Unity development or programming skills are not required for this part of the role. The scenarios are created based on prepared Scenario Design Documents and storyboards, so you will have a clear specification to follow.

You will work on enterprise VR projects across industries such as MedTech, Pharmaceuticals, Energy, Transport, Aerospace, and Manufacturing.

This role could be especially interesting for a VR QA Engineer who would like to move beyond testing and start creating interactive XR experiences as well.

Responsibilities

Create, configure, and edit interactive XR scenarios using Lucid Reality Labs’ proprietary no-code/low-code XR platform, based on approved Scenario Design Documents and storyboards.
Configure scenario steps, interactions, conditions, branching, instructions, feedback, scoring, and completion logic.
Work with interactive 3D objects, animations, audio, images, videos, and other project assets.
Test and validate your own scenarios before handing them over for independent QA.
Perform QA on XR scenarios created by other Scenario Creators.
Test scenario logic, interactions, user flows, expected and unexpected user actions, feedback, scoring, and overall VR experience.
Compare implemented scenarios against approved Scenario Design Documents, storyboards, and visual references.
Identify, reproduce, document, and track bugs and inconsistencies.
Troubleshoot scenario, object, scene, runtime, Unity-related, and backend issues using available logs and diagnostic information.
Verify fixes and perform regression testing.
Work closely with Project Managers, 3D Artists, Object Creators, Unity Developers, and other members of the XR production team.

Requirements

2+ years of commercial experience in software QA, ideally at Middle QA Engineer level.
Commercial experience testing VR/XR applications or projects.
Good understanding of functional and regression testing.
Experience creating test cases and clearly documenting, reproducing, and tracking bugs.
Strong logical and analytical thinking with high attention to detail.
Ability to understand structured scenarios, storyboards, interaction logic, and user flows.
Ability to identify edge cases and unexpected user behaviour.
Basic troubleshooting skills and ability to investigate issues using logs and technical information.
Basic understanding of client-server communication and common HTTP status codes such as 400, 401, 403, 404, and 500.
Comfortable learning new software and working with visual no-code/low-code authoring tools.
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
Good written and spoken English.

Bonus points:

Experience working with logs and troubleshooting tools such as Grafana, Android Studio, or Charles Proxy.
Experience testing Unity-based VR applications.
Basic knowledge of Unity concepts such as GameObjects, prefabs, colliders, triggers, animations, scenes, and states.
Experience with Figma or similar tools for validating implementation against approved designs and storyboards.
Experience with Meta Quest, Pico, or other standalone VR/XR devices.
Experience creating or configuring interactive content, game logic, or training simulations.
Experience with visual scripting or no-code/low-code tools.
Experience with Jira or similar issue-tracking systems.
Experience working on enterprise training or simulation projects.

What We Offer

24 working days paid vacation, 7 days sick leave, and public holidays.
Flexible working hours of remote work.
Open-minded and outside-the-box ideas embodied in life.
Award-winning and diverse team to grow together.
The opportunity to move beyond traditional QA and directly create interactive XR experiences.
Work on commercial enterprise XR projects across multiple industries.
Access to XR technologies.
Minimum bureaucracy and a great working environment

Product Designer – XR, Spatial UX & AI

Europe

Description

Lucid Reality Labs is a team creating enterprise XR and AI products that make training safer, learning more effective, and complex work easier to perform. Our projects include immersive safety and skills training, simulations, digital twins, and intelligent XR experiences.

We are looking for a Product Designer who can raise the design quality of our products end to end: from intuitive spatial interactions and training flows to polished, premium visual experiences.

Your mission

You will make complex XR products feel clear, natural, and engaging in real use not only look good in Figma.

You will lead the design of flows, interfaces, spatial interactions, feedback systems, and visual direction for products used in VR, AR, mixed reality, and 2D companion interfaces. You will work closely with product managers, Unity/XR developers, 3D artists, technical artists, and clients.

Responsibilities

Own product design from discovery to delivery: user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, UI, spatial interaction rules, specifications, and design QA.
Design intuitive XR interactions for hand tracking, controllers, poke, ray, gaze, and other input methods.
Create clear interaction states for complex tasks for example, camera tools, scanning, hazard identification, assessment, and review flows.
Make interactions forgiving and accessible: define input tolerances, feedback, error prevention, recovery states, and clear next steps.
Design effective tutorial and training flows, including guidance, acknowledgment of correct and incorrect actions, progress, and performance feedback.
Create high-quality visual interfaces with strong hierarchy, readability, proportional typography and icons, contrast, depth, motion, and responsive feedback.
Build and maintain scalable design systems for XR and 2D product interfaces.
Improve the visual quality of experiences through thoughtful UI styling, micro-interactions, lighting and environment direction in collaboration with 3D and technical-art teams.
Run usability testing in-headset, identify friction early, and turn insights into prioritised improvements.
Translate client feedback and business requirements into clear design decisions and developer-ready acceptance criteria.
Lead design reviews and raise the quality bar across a small, fast-moving multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

4+ years of product-design experience, with a portfolio of high-quality shipped digital products.
Strong experience in VR, AR, MR, games, simulations, or other spatial-computing products. This is a core requirement.
Excellent visual-design craft: typography, layout, colour, hierarchy, motion, component design, and premium UI styling.
Deep understanding of human-centred interaction design, especially for task-based, immersive, or hands-on workflows.
Experience designing user feedback, system status, learning flows, error states, and success criteria.
Advanced Figma skills, including components, auto layout, variables, prototyping, and design systems.
Ability to make clear design decisions in ambiguous environments and explain the reasoning to clients and teammates.
Experience collaborating closely with developers and the ability to create practical, implementation-ready specifications.
Strong spoken and written English.

Especially valuable

Experience with Unity, Unreal, or another real-time 3D environment.
Experience designing training, safety, healthcare, industrial, manufacturing, or regulated enterprise products.
Familiarity with hand tracking, controller interactions, spatial ergonomics, accessibility, and comfort in XR.
Experience directing visual quality alongside 3D artists, animators, and technical artists.
Experience with AI-powered products or intelligent assistant interfaces.

What success looks like

Within the first months, you will bring more structure, consistency, and quality to how we design XR products. You will help us create interfaces that are easy to understand at first use, interactions that work reliably in real conditions, training experiences that give users meaningful feedback, and visuals that feel polished, immersive, and premium.

What We Offer

Competitive salary
24 days annual vacation days
7 working days per year for sick leave
Flexible working hours and ability to work remotely
Open-minded and outside-the-box ideas embodied in life
Award-winning and diverse team to grow together
Friendly team and a great working environment

Join us, and together, let's make a positive impact on how we experience life!
