The Operational Risk area is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Bank’s operational risk management system, ensuring its alignment with the Colombian regulatory framework, financial sector best practices, and the business strategy of an institution in a stage of development and growth.
Challenges that await you:
Design and implement the comprehensive operational risk management framework for a newly established bank, including policies, methodologies, processes, and controls.
Lead the identification of critical processes, operational risk mapping, and risk assessments in collaboration with process owners.
Define and implement KRIs, thresholds, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure timely detection of relevant deviations.
Design and manage the process for recording, analyzing, and assessing operational risk incidents and losses, including budgetary tracking.
Develop effective controls and mitigation plans in coordination with the First Line of Defense.
Coordinate with the Technology and Finance teams to define the technological architecture, tools, and reporting frameworks for operational risk management.
Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and related contingency plans.
Prepare and present technical information and reports to Committees and the Board of Directors.
What makes you a great fit:
7+ years of experience in operational risk management within banks or financial institutions.
Solid knowledge of Colombian regulations applicable to operational risk and business continuity.
Experience in the implementation or maintenance of Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
Ability to structure processes, define methodologies, and work with multidisciplinary teams.
Intermediate level of English (minimum B1) for professional interaction and technical documentation.
Analytical mindset, results-oriented approach, and a strong sense of regulatory responsibility.
